Affiliate Disclosure
The short version: some links on Life in New York City are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Sponsored placements are labeled.
Who we are
Life in New York City is operated by Enterprise Digital Management LLC. We follow the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), which require us to tell you about any financial or other relationship that could affect how you weigh our recommendations.
Affiliate links
Some links in our stories, guides, newsletter, and social posts are affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase, the retailer may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.
We may join affiliate programs and networks run by retailers and other companies. Links that may earn us a commission are labeled where they appear.
Sponsored content and featured partners
Local businesses can pay to be featured on the site, for example in a "Featured partner" spot, a sponsored post, or a partner listing. Paid placements are labeled clearly, such as "Sponsored," "Paid partnership," or "Ad," on or next to the placement itself.
If a business we feature is owned by, or connected to, the people who run this site, we say so on or next to that placement.
Free products and invitations
If we receive a product, meal, ticket, or service for free or at a discount, and we write about it, we say so in that post.
Editorial independence
Partners and advertisers do not buy editorial coverage, and they do not approve our stories before publication. A commission or a sponsorship does not change what we write. We recommend things we think our readers in New York City will find useful.
Where you'll see disclosures
- In the footer of every page.
- At the top of any post that contains affiliate links, before the first link. Individual links may also be marked "(paid link)".
- In newsletters and social posts that contain affiliate links or sponsored content (for example, "#ad" or "Sponsored").
Prices and availability
Retailers set their own prices, availability, shipping, and return policies, and these can change at any time. Purchases from other sites are between you and that retailer.
